sepsis
Sepsis is a syndromic response to infection by microbes.
Symptoms of sepsis are varied, ranging from fever to low body temperature, cold extrememities, shivering, heart rate increase, weak pulse, low blood pressure or altered mental state.
80% of sepsis deaths could be prevented by early diagnosis and targeted antimicrobial treatment.2
Current diagnostic techniques (blood cultures) deliver results in 1 to 10 days.3
30%-45% of sepsis patients receive inappropriate initial antimicrobial therapy.4
Every hour of delay without appropriate therapy increases mortality by 7.6%. 5
Our solution will identify the microbe(s) causing the infection in less than 3 hours.
